Join us as we sing, dance, drum and rhyme! Lay a foundation for lifelong joy in music with this mixed-age, music and movement class. SECE class is designed for babies and toddlers (birth up to 3 yrs & 11 mo) to experience alongside an adult caregiver.
A parent, auntie or uncle, nanny, grandparent or family friend is welcome to participate in this class as your child's caregiver and partner in making music - no prior musical experience necessary.

We invite you to take a turn leading the class by playing clear, ringing tones on our glockenspiel. Enjoy the rich, clean sounds of quality percussion instruments as you move your whole body to the music. Which instruments do we play during class? SECE curriculum uses:
When your child starts to achieve mastery on these instruments, and shows signs of readiness for more, the teacher may add a layer of complexity to the curriculum, which might include a new instrument. PSMP's layers might include...

MoveHear the sound of the drum, and march, march, march! When the drum stops, we stop too. Students take turns bouncing the beater in the center of the drum for a full, resonant tone that everyone can follow!

Our mixed-age classes purposely place younger students in an environment where they can observe and learn from older ones.
Don't know what to do yet? Watch and learn... Older students learn gentleness, patience and role modeling skills as they lead the younger ones. |
